Daniel is inspired by the transformational, communicative, and healing power of dance, movement, and the human body. Kinesiology and functional movement inform his approach to ballet technique. He teaches a ballet placement method that is safe and healthy and honors each dancer’s uniqueness. With an individualized approach, he helps each dancer cultivate awareness and work with their physicality to communicate from their distinct identity.

“Daniel is extremely helpful in private sessions for stretch/ strength training and also mentoring help in dance and dance recovery. I have been working with him for 2 years and the noticeable difference in my strength is something I didn’t know I could have approaching age 60! He has an excellent understanding of the body and is wonderful at tailoring sessions specifically to your needs. I highly recommend!” - Allie

Each Dancer is Affirmed & Uplifted

Daniel helps dancers shed affectations that can negatively impact them. Movement and dance, when done this way, feel good and are healing to the body, mind, and spirit!

While a dancer at American Ballet Theatre, Daniel worked one-on-one with Maggie Black to rework his ballet technique, focusing on a healthy, natural alignment and an individualized sense of physicality. Maggie Black is renown for working with top dancers such as Natalia Makarova, Gelsey Kirkland, Amanda Mckerrow, Susan Jaffe, Martine Van Hamel, Robert Hill, and Kevin Mckenzie as well as many more from both modern dance and ballet companies. Daniel’s first ballet teacher was Ceyhun Ozsoy in Duncanville, TX. He is thankful to his late friend and teacher, Kim Abel, with helping and coaching him throughout his career.

In his choreography, Daniel explores themes of humanism, solidarity, and justice through a naturalistic ballet lens.
